In light of my recent disappearance from the web, I decided to post on the topic to clear up some misconceptions, most notably to clarify the rumors that I died and that I have been in Europe looking at property. Neither of these is truthful or accurate, and I do not know how they got started or why the people responsible for spreading these rumors decided to do so.

So to clarify, I am not dead, nor did I travel to Europe to check out real estate. It is true that my cardiovascular health had taken a hit in recent months, and the doctor determined that it would be in my best interests to take a break from my normal work routine. Actually, the doctor strongly recommended that I take some time off from work altogether until my health had improved. This is the reason for my sudden disappearance.

Most of you will be happy to know (and a few of you no doubt disappointed) that I will be picking up where I left off very soon, although no specific timetable has been established as of yet. If I had to estimate, I would say I’ll be back sometime within the next week to two weeks.

I had been working 18-40 hour days (trust me, it’s not impossible), and five-plus years of adhering to such a schedule took a toll on my health. I will undoubtedly have to learn to delegate better than I have in the past.

In any case, I am alive and my health is improving, and I’ll be back before you know it. Hang in there, and please stop worrying about me as I am alive and my absence is far from permanent.

Sincerely,

Fat Lester

Welcome back! You might want to find the thing NBC did about Al Roker’s battle with his weight and food that they did on yesterday morning’s Today Show.

So glad to hear that all is well. Don’t worry, take your time, the rest of us have been keeping up htose 40-hour days and we have managed quite well. Except, of course for that BP oil spill. Oh yeah, and that Korean boat thing. And that Israeli boat controversy. And Greece (but that’s not our fault). Well, maybe we need you back after all. :-)

Thanks David ;-) I love you guys. I can’t see myself being gone for much longer. I’ve been bowled over by all the support and regret that I haven’t been able to respond to everyone that has reached out to me since the hiatus began. I’ll be back soon, I promise :-)

@TheDudeDean Thanks bro, everything I said in my reply to David fully applies to you and all my other fellow Mixxers as well. Your support has been incredible!

Good to hear that. I also thought you were gone and reading this blog shocked me.

Bad…very bad. No work is worth compensating your health. Glad you’re back though. Cut working hours to half and live a little.
