It was settled out-of-court.  There is no way to really know what exactly happened, but my overwhelming suspicion is that Whitman paid the guy enough money to get him to transfer the domains to her and shut-up about it.  This was as much about bad press as anything, as money certainly was not the issue.  My speculation is that Whitman essentially paid the guy to go away and keep quiet so as to ensure that there was no follow-up story because all involved parties have incentive not to speak to the media about it.</description>

		<description>What ended up happening with this case? Laws surrounding the internet can be interesting as there have not been enough cases where you can look at it and flat out come up with a determination on who you think would win the case.</description>
